Industrial Rehab / Physical Capacity Evaluation

Industrial rehabilitation programs aim to recognize the special needs of those who have been injured on the job.

Rehab plans utilize hands on physical therapy care that trained clinicians have taken the time to customize to meet the demands of injured workers.   Treatment implements a wide range of exercises to help people recover from their injury and restore job specific abilities. Body mechanics training including postural instruction and lifting techniques are often used to help workers perform difficult tasks safely and to return to work as fast as possible.

At Atlas Physical Therapy, we use a variety of specialized functional exercise machines and approaches to help customize treatment to the individual including aquatic therapy (including and underwater treadmill), a Pilates reformer and a Vertimax trainer.

Physical Capacity Evaluation

A physical capacities evaluation is a comprehensive series of tests used to determine a person’s current working abilities. Years of experience and extensive continuing education in this area help to ensure that our evaluations are comprehensive and useful. We use the latest methods to determine consistency of effort and validity in testing.
